Hello, my name is Donald Clark Jr. and I am here to give you guys a journey and a view in the culinary arts, the way I see it. This will let me know what direction to take conversations, and recipes to share.
I'm not sure about you guys, but my opinion, life revolves around food, it seriously helps us to get to know one another and for icebreakers to talk about food, right? So the idea of this blog is to be an icebreaker so we can talk, let's talk about food together! Let's share ideas, talk about life, and celebrate this artistic view of food and educate each other in different techniques, or ideas, as well as execution!
I am a Sous Chef for Army Navy Country Club in Fairfax. From learning the basics in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and moving to Virginia the last 12 probably 13 years, I think.. I have learned to be pretty passionate about what it is, I do! Years ago I never would have imagined myself taking food so serious, the artistic views of creation and being so passionate! I have Windows Catering company, a few people in between that, the MGM, and now, yes, now Army Navy Country Club to thank for making this journey and my success possible.
So we all want to have a very successful and grand business venture, not all of us are distant for that. But we should all be very fortunate to be knowledgeable of this craft we love.! My dream is to past the knowledge that I have along so if this blog helps others understand and fall in love for the culinary arts like myself and many others, then I've done my job!
This is one dish my chef and I created for Valentine's Day, at my country club. It's my Chef idea and part of his vision with mine! This is a very beautiful dish.
